Great performance great result.

Arsenal were always going to have a decent spell in the game, it just so happened it came when Bowyer and Ferguson tired...they ran the midfield for 70 minutes today.

Danns 'chance' wasn't really, it was a great effort by Roger Johnson to get his foot onto the ball from Fergusons free kick which then hit the post, the rebound hit Dann and went over.

Very happy, with one exception.

There was a ball played for Chucho, and there was no desire shown by him to get there first. Very half hearted effort by him. The camera even picked up Gardner having a go at him about it.

Lets not forget something else...Arsenals form going into this game...6 or 7 wins on the trot.....

Brilliant Blues, brilliant! **thumbup

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger: "I thought we were closer to scoring the second goal than to losing 2-1. We were a bit naïve and not killer enough. The last thing we wanted was a free-kick and unfortunately we were punished. The pitch is a massive handicap - you can't play football on it."

yes we know....1-1............. :D

Good performance .....wouldn't say great

My exception would be is that I couldn't believe the amount of time and space we gave Nasri to pick his spot from distance.....Soft goal to give away from our standpoint

Spirited effort from Blues but how we lack that cutting edge up front......been the story of the season so far

Barry Ferguson again an inspiration today

Perhaps a little fortunate to get a point with a somwhat bizarre late goal from Super-Kev but pleased for him and very happy we have kept our unbeaten home record alive all the way since September

Has been a wonderful season.......Lucky or not I'll gladly take a point against the form team of the moment in the Prem

Well chuffed - I was in a pub in Pompey & there was a gang of around 6 or 7 young lads, all being loud & clapping & cheering every London team.

One of them had an accumulator on & said on around 80 minutes "I only need Arsenal to score now & I've won over a grand"

They score - the bunch go mad (I'm in my Blues top) & they think it's funny that we're going to get beat.

I said "Kevin Phillips is going to pop up & equalise i the last minute of injury time" - met with jeers.

4 minutes later............... :D :drink:

Bless 'em. Kids from Portsmouth talk in this kind of weak cockerney accent like the Artful Dodger. I take it that they're now supporting London clubs due to the interminable shitness of their team?

The pitch IS abit uneven, but it doesn't stop us from knocking it around.

Excuses, why cant he just say both teams tried to play football on a difficult pitch and a draw was a fair result!

Silly me cause I thought we both played on the same pitch.

And how unlucky were we when it came of the post and Dann missed the rebound?

On, and does anyone know the Villa score please?

:Blues:

Agree, AB

I did mention the Dann miss to several Arsenal fans complaining about the pitch and our so-called "flukey" goal.....I don't really want to knock Scott Dann too much as the ball came at him off the post fairly fast and hit him on the knee.....Although I suppose a more accomplished striker like Kevin Phillips may have turned it in

The Villa score ???

Oh ! I believe it was their worse rout for 46 years since Manchester United turned them over 7-0 at Old Trafford

Villa did manage a goal in reply this time

**thumbup :LMAO:

Really loved the match, best game for quite a while, well done blues.

Mr. Wenger - Pitch (same for both teams)
- Bad tackle on Fabragas my foot - got the ball clean as a whitle
- Good chances for BOTH teams, not just Arsenal
- Back to Fabragas if he was injured, why did he play the whole game!

I say again well done blues.
